LIFE SCIENCES EXECUTIVE COACHING

In the fast-evolving world of Life Sciences, leaders are often in their roles because of how effectively they perform at their best. Building from this foundation, our high-touch executive coaching approach helps Life Sciences leaders decode the specific thinking and decision-making filters that shape how they approach complex scientific, regulatory, and business challenges.

EXECUTIVE COACHING

We guide our client's by identifying the triggers that disrupt their performance—translating abstract patterns into actionable insights. This empowers leaders to permanently shift limiting behaviors and elevate their strategic and interpersonal impact.

In our most immersive engagements, our executive coaches partner closely with C-suite leaders across pharma, biotech, medtech, and related sectors. Through in-depth interviews with cross-functional stakeholders, observational shadowing, and consistent executive dialogue, we surface each leader’s core strengths, derailers, and growth levers.

With the support of their coach, leaders gain a wider lens—balancing scientific rigor with organizational dynamics—so they can lead more decisively, inspire more effectively, and create the conditions for innovation and execution at scale.

360 FEEDBACK COACHING

As part of our coaching engagement, we collect confidential, 360-style feedback from 10–16 key stakeholders using a combination of structured phone interviews and our secure online assessment platform. This qualitative data provides the Coach with a nuanced understanding of the Coachee’s leadership impact within the organization and serves as a baseline to measure progress—optionally revisited during a close-out review.

Participants are thoughtfully selected and typically include the Coachee’s direct manager, functional and cross-functional team members, as well as key internal stakeholders such as scientific peers, matrixed collaborators, and commercial or regulatory partners. These individuals are chosen based on their proximity to the Coachee’s work, their influence on success, and their ability to provide diverse, relevant insights across scientific, operational, and interpersonal dimensions.

The feedback pool is intentionally split into two groups:

  • Core contributors who participate in live interviews, offering deeper context and real-time reflections.

  • Broader stakeholders—such as additional internal clients, cross-departmental colleagues, or remote collaborators—who respond to the same questions via our online tool, ensuring a wide range of input without overextending coaching hours.

The initial list of potential feedback providers is developed collaboratively by the Coachee and Coach, with input from the Coachee’s manager and, when appropriate, their HR Business Partner. Final selection is made jointly by the Coach and Coachee, with care taken to ensure the process feels equitable and the Coachee maintains a sense of ownership and psychological safety throughout.

TARGETED COACHING

In Life Sciences, leaders are often where they are today because of a distinct edge—whether it's scientific expertise, strategic acumen, or an ability to navigate complex, regulated environments. Building on that foundation, our high-touch coaching engagement is designed to accelerate the growth of both established and emerging leaders across biotech, pharma, medtech, and related settings.

We begin by helping leaders identify what peak performance looks like in their specific context—then uncover what disrupts that state. From there, we deliver practical, evidence-based insights to help them shift limiting behaviors and mental patterns in ways that create lasting impact.

Throughout the engagement, our Coaches work closely with each leader to develop a focused understanding of their strengths and growth opportunities. In collaboration with the Coachee’s manager—and, where appropriate, HR leadership—they co-create a targeted development plan aligned with both individual and organizational priorities.

Through ongoing one-on-one coaching sessions and feedback gathered from critical stakeholders—including cross-functional peers, internal clients, and direct reports—leaders learn to broaden their lens. They begin to lead with equal fluency in both the science and the people dimensions of the business, enabling them to foster high-performing teams, drive innovation, and elevate enterprise-wide outcomes.

COACHING INTENSIVE

This intensive coaching engagement is designed to accelerate the development of both emerging and established leaders within Life Sciences organizations—whether in pharma, biotech, medtech, or CRO environments. We provide science-minded leaders with actionable insight into what drives peak performance—and what derails it—within the complex, high-regulation landscape they operate in.

Even in organizations that value transparency and feedback, there's a ceiling to how far scientific and technical leaders can grow on their own. Our Coaching Intensive breaks through that ceiling by equipping leaders with the clarity, confidence, and tools needed to lead more effectively in matrixed, mission-critical settings.

Through one-on-one executive coaching, our Coaches help Life Sciences leaders build a deeper understanding of their leadership strengths, cognitive patterns, and development opportunities. With input from the Coachee’s manager, we co-develop a tailored plan that targets high-impact areas—advancing not only individual performance but also team cohesion, innovation capacity, and organizational outcomes in a scientifically demanding environment.
